Health Trainer

A Health Trainer runs a drop in service at Salisbury Medical Practice in the waiting room on the 1st Thursday of every month between 10:00am and 12:00pm. Health Trainers offer advice and support for anyone over the age of 18 in the form of six free sessions. They can support you by setting goals each session to eat healthier, reduce alcohol consumption, improve general wellbeing and to be more active. You do not need to be registered as a patient to access this service. More information can be found here:

*New* A Health Trainer will now be running a clinic at our Bemerton Heath surgery on the 1st Monday of every month! 

To book a half an hour session with a health trainer, please either ask your GP, nurse or HCA for more information, or phone the practice on 01722 333034.

The Royal British Legion

The Royal British Legion provides lifelong support for the Armed Forces community- serving men and women, veterans and their families. Their advice and information officer will be in the large waiting room to explain the services the charity offers and how they can support you.

Wessex stoma support group

The Wessex stoma support group offer non – medical support and advice. They have regular meetings to support people with colostomy, ileostomy, urostomy and mitrofanoff. They will be in the waiting room of Salisbury Medical Practice on the following dates between 9:00am – 12:00pm to explain more about their group and service:

Wiltshire Police

Jo Atkinson, a Police Community Support Officer is now in The Fountain Cafe once a month offering a drop in service. She is part of the community policing team and is going to chat to anyone who would like some advice.

Jo brings some resources such as 'no cold caller' window stickers and community messaging application forms.

Come along and say hello!

Wiltshire Sight

A sight advisor from Wiltshire Sight will be in the Fountain Cafe every two months offering a drop in services. Wiltshire Sight is a local charity which offers support, guidance and advice to people with sight loss.
