I studied psychology at Southampton University and worked in autism services before going to study medicine at Sheffield University. Since qualifying I have worked in the Salisbury area. If I ever get any spare time I like to go running.
I enjoy the variety of people and conditions that I encounter as a GP and feel privileged to serve the community of Wilton and the surrounding areas. I trained at the University of Southampton Medical School and then worked in a variety of hospital posts at Southampton University Hospital and Salisbury District Hospital. I joined the practice as a Partner in 2010. I have additional qualifications in child health, obstetrics and gynaecology, family planning and sexual health.
I provide additional services such as minor surgical procedures under local anaesthetic, and contraceptive coil and implant insertions. Outside of work I enjoy making the most of the beautiful Wiltshire countryside and battling against the slugs in my garden to grow vegetables.
(Currently studying for PGCME) I qualified in 1987. I have been a partner in this practice since 1994 and a trainer for the last 10 years. Clinical interests include women's health, paediatrics and ophthalmology. In addition, I have an interest in prescribing and sit on the local Drugs and Therapeutics Committee.
I have been a partner at Wilton Health Centre since 2001, having qualified at Southampton University and done various jobs in hospitals around the South West including paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, ENT, ophthalmology and orthopaedics. I still very much enjoy the variety and challenge of general practice.
I have an interest in diabetes and chronic disease management. I take an active role in teaching medical students from Southampton University who regularly visit the practice. I also enjoy dermatology and run regular cryotherapy sessions as well as doing some steroid joint injections.
Home life is busy with three school age children tempered by regular exercise, gardening and the occasional glass of wine!
I studied medicine at Southampton University, qualifying in 2009 and qualified as a GP subsequently in August 2014. I joined SMP in April 2015 and am currently working towards a diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine. Sports Medicine is my main interest medically and long distance running is my favoured activity outside of work.
I qualified from Westminster Hospital in 1982 and became a partner in General Practice in Salisbury in 1990. My special interests are Diabetes and Medical Education.
I studied medicine at Edinburgh Medical School and also obtained a degree in neuroscience during my time there. After a year as a junior doctor in Edinburgh, I spent 3 years working as a doctor in London in a variety of hospital medical specialities during which time I obtained my membership of the Royal College of Physicians and after this I carried out my GP training in Cambridgeshire and Wiltshire. I have been a partner at Wilton Health Centre since 2008.Since being a GP I have obtained additional qualifications in family planning and sexual health. I fit coils and contraceptive implants at Wilton Health Centre. I also carry out regular minor surgery under local anaesthetic in the practice and perform joint injections for a variety of conditions. I love teaching and am actively involved in training medical students from Southampton Medical School.I feel very blessed to be able to combine a career I love with family life and when not at work, my 3 children keep me busy! I enjoy a variety of sports, particularly running, cycling and swimming, and am passionate about the role of exercise on health.
I qualified in 1995 from UCL and I am a Member of the Royal College of GPs. I am the lead GP for Cardiovascular Medicine & Palliative Care, and have a particular interest in Rheumatology and Minor Skin Surgery. I am also a trainer for medical students.
I qualified from UCH in 1983 and have worked at the surgery for 17 years, becoming a half-time partner in 2009. My clinical interests include diabetes, women's health and holistic care.
I qualified in 2001 from Southampton with a BM and did my GPVTS in Salisbury, gaining my MRCGP in 2006. I have been a partner with the practice since 2006. I have an interest in maternal and children’s health. I also teach medical students, which I enjoy.
I qualified from Barts in 1991 and initially pursued a career in surgery with training posts in London, Salisbury and Southampton. After changing to General Practice, I became a partner in 2002. My special interests are minor surgery, dermatology, joint injections and men’s health. I run the vasectomy, carpal tunnel and minor surgery service for South Wiltshire.
I qualified in 1996 in Newcastle upon Tyne. I have previously worked as a GP, specialising in sexually transmitted infections in London - and for a short period worked in Ghana too. My interests include dementia and ECGs.
I qualified in 2006. I am a GP Retainer and moved to Salisbury from Suffolk in 2013. My main clinical interest is women's health.
I work as a part-time GP. My special interest is in Family Planning and Sexual Health. As I used to work in Family Planning clinics I've had plenty of experience fitting coils and Implanons. My other interests include steroid joint injections. I'm also a member of the Wessex Local Medical Committee. I speak Polish.
I studied at UCL and have specialist interests in dermatology specifically skin cancer, onco-dermatology and facial surgery. I also went to the Slade School of Art and love painting and also write (mainly poetry).
I qualified from Southampton in 1990 and worked in obstetrics/gynaecology for six years before going into general practice. Women’s health is a major interest of mine.
Dr Jonathan Cooper works alongside GP's at the surgery to provide Minor Operations Clinics.
Rebecca Studied Adult Nursing at University of Southampton, and qualified in 2003. She has worked at Salisbury Hospital (Acute Medical Wards, A&E and ITU) and 'topped-up' her Nursing Studies to a Nursing Degree, from Bournemouth University in 2004. She worked in the Community Setting as a Community Nurse, Practice Nurse, Community Matron/Clinical Lead. She qualified as a Non-Medical Prescriber in 2007 and completed a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice, graduating in 2013 from University of Southampton.
In her spare time, she loves running and gardening.
Alison graduated from the University of West of England, Bristol, in 1998 with Diploma of Higher Education in Nursing Studies. She originally worked in secondary care but quickly realised her interest lied within primary care, gaining a BSc Professional Studies (nursing) in 2001 whilst working in the community. Alison joined the Grove House Surgery team in 2004 and went on to complete her post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Practice (2008), allowing her to develop her role. Since 2010, Alison has developed within the area of Diabetes Care, in which she has a special interest.
Tracey trained at The Royal Masonic Hospital and qualified in 1985 as RGN. She specialises in patients with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), after gaining an Asthma Diploma in 2009. Tracey is also qualified in prescribing and is now part of the Spirometry ARTP register.
Katy Lee BSc Hons Nursing, RGN, HV trained at Kings College, London. Katy has worked in London, Oxford, Surrey, North Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and in Salisbury since 2006. She has a background in Health visiting, District Nursing and for the last 8 years Practice Nursing. Clinical interests include respiratory, women's health and wound care. She has recently trained in Nurse Prescribing.
Gill, RGN, has been a nurse for 33 years and a practice nurse for 15 years. She is a general practice nurse with an interest in hypertension and heart disease, travel health, sexual health, and behaviour change such as weight management and smoking cessation.
Tracy trained at Salisbury School of Nursing and has practiced nursing since 1989, joining this surgery in 1996. She takes special interest in diabetes and travel health.
Lynn Sutton has been an RGN for over 40 years, after training in Salisbury on the two sites which were then infirmary & Odstock. Lynn has been at the surgery for 7 years and has a particular interest in smoke stop & annual learning disability checks.
Jane qualified as a Registered General nurse in 1987. Her speciality is respiratory and she gained an Asthma Diploma in 1992.
Gary joined the Practice Team on secondment from Health Education Wessex in July 2015 and will be at the surgery for at least six months.
He qualified originally from the European Institute of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Surrey in 2005 with a Diploma of Higher Education in Adult Nursing. In 2014 Gary graduated with First Class Honours in Clinical Practice from The University of Southampton, and is currently studying for a Masters Degree alongside additional studies to become a qualified Nurse Consultant for Frail Older Patients. Gary’s career has always focused on the care of older people and he has worked in both community and hospital settings.
Liz has worked at Grove House since 2006, previously working as a Healthcare Assistant at Salisbury District Hospital. Liz assists in minor operations and is a trained Phlebotomist.
