Children's Flu Vaccine 2024

nurse

The children's flu vaccine (a live nasal spray vaccine) is offered on the NHS every year in autumn or early winter. It's recommended for:

  • children aged 2 or 3 years
  • school-aged children (Reception to Year 11)
  • children aged 6 months to 17 years with certain long-term health conditions

We have clinics available to book for children aged 2 or 3 years, or aged 6 months to 17 years with a long term health condition (listed on the NHS website). These are available during school hours, in the evenings and on a Saturday. School-aged children (Reception to Year 11) will be offered their flu vaccine at school.

If you/your child is eligible, you will receive a text invitation with a link to book. If you cannot use the link or do not have a smart phone, you can email us at bswicb.smp@nhs.net to book or call us after 5pm when the lines are quieter.
