Gender: Female
Primary qualifications: MBChB BSc MRCP MRCGP DFSRH
I studied medicine at Edinburgh Medical School. After a year as a junior doctor in Edinburgh, I spent 3 years working as a doctor in London in a variety of hospital medical specialities during which time I obtained my membership of the Royal College of Physicians, after this I carried out my GP training and I have been a GP partner since 2008. I am the GP Lead for Military Veterans.
Since being a GP I have obtained additional qualifications in family planning and sexual health. I fit coils and contraceptive implants. I also perform joint injections for a variety of conditions. I love teaching and am actively involved in training medical students from Southampton Medical School. I am the research lead at Salisbury Medical Practice. I feel passionately about lifestyle medicine and the importance it has in improving both physical and mental wellbeing.
I feel very blessed to be able to combine a career I love with family life and when not at work, my 3 children keep me busy! I enjoy a variety of sports, particularly running, cycling and swimming and am a keen amateur trumpet player and singer.
My usual working days are Tuesday and Thursday.
